Making Cosmetics together with Formula Cosmetics held in Milan over the dates of 22 – 23 November. The vibrant atmosphere in the exhibition and seminar rooms represented an industry ready to move to the next level by celebrating national achievements and demonstrating an ambition for international recognition of the innovation and diversity that Italy offers. With 1,970 unique onsite visitors, this fourth edition of Making Cosmetics and Formula Cosmetics delivered a record on-site attendance – as well as the highest number of advance registrations than ever before. Such an attendance produced a most busy environment for everyone who participated.
The change of venue to the central and prestigious MiCo (www.micomilano.it ) paid off, delivering a laudable performance to all exhibitors and visitors alike.
Ninety-eight stand-holding companies with nearly two hundred represented companies were present to showcase their latest developments in formulation, innovation, technology, testing, analyzing and packaging. This profile produced a diverse arena for discussion and an exchange of ideas, information and answers to technical challenges.
The format of the exhibition also provided an opportunity for exhibitors to share their knowledge and expertise throughout a number of activities: TechFocus (technical in depth oral presentations), Live Lab (a live laboratory showing and explaining the manufacturing process of an emulsion) as well as ample opportunity to present new and innovative developments from the stands. Has the cosmetics and toiletries “Made in Italy” reached its full potential? The Organisers do not think so! Italian manufacturers have still lots to offer and with such high number of active SMEs it is only a matter of time that creativity and innovation goes beyond all expectations and surprises all.
There is confidence and optimism that next year Making Cosmetics and Formula Cosmetics will once again satisfy the needs of the Italian cosmetic & toiletries sector, proving its status and success.
