Abstract
Modern genomics, proteomics and life-sciencewould have not undergone milestones achievementswithout the support of powerful physical methods for theinvestigation of molecular st ructures. Chemist ry,molecular biology and medical research are in debt withmass spectrometry and NMR spectroscopy. The NobelPrize in Chemistry for 2002 awarded the fundamentalcontribution of soft ionization MS methods – electrosprayand MALDI – and biomolecular NMR.
