The catalysis team at Solvias has been at the forefront of making the latest scientific findings available to the development of commercial catalytic processes.(1) Following the concept of modularity and scalability, Solvias is able to provide a large variety of chiral ligands. Modularity in ligand design is an important key for a successful lead finding and subsequent optimization in the development of a catalytic reaction. Only the availability of this diversity allows for evaluating variations in steric demand and electron density for a certain catalytic reaction and gaining detailed insight into the demands made on the ligand. The resulting large variety of modular chiral ligands (2) has led to significant progress in substrate scope, reaction conditions as well as catalyst costs and availability. The ferrocenyl diphosphine ligands of Solvias were initially designed for asymmetric hydrogenation and have a proven track record for industrial applications in prestigious API syntheses on ton scale.(3) Along with ...
