Nutraday 2016

On March 15th 2016, Milan hosted the second edition of Nutra Day, a seminar on ntraceutical organized by the british company Cum Grano Salis. Supported by institutional partners such as FederSalus, UTIFAR, Federfarma and SINut, the event recorded a large partecipation (over 100 partecipants attended) and  proved the growing interest in the matter and in this event as well.

During the day, the speakers addressed the nutraceutical topic from different point of views, so to stimulate the discussions and the remarks emerged from the final round table. A special focus was dedicated to a new initiative, the “PlaySure Doping Free Certification”, which has been presented to the public for the very first time. As stated by the press release following the event, “the project starts with the creation and development of Technical Specifications by the international organization “Doping Free”. The association’s mission is to identify those products and services (available on the market) that have no doping effects on sportsmen or professional athletes alike (of any discipline), asking the producer to declare processes and interactions, defining methods which ensure seamless functionality and control of the processes, putting systems in place to measure, monitor and analyse said processes and implementing any necessary action to reach the set standards. By doing so, products respectful of sports ethic will be immediately identifiable on the market. The third-party control (Bureau Veritas) will ensure the independent control of the specifications requirements.”
