Abstract

A continuous-flow microreactor is used for Diels-Alderreactions. Its direct in-line connection to an HPLC allowsthe analysis and optimisation of the reaction on a muchshorter time scale than performing the correspondingreactions under batch reaction conditions. A large numberof experiments are performed in a short time with minimalreagent consumption. Together with very small volumes ofsolvents, such an approach provides a green, economicaland safe environment for reaction screening.
