Facts and figures are clear. Cosmetics industry is definitively a driver for growth and competitiveness in Europe. In most European States the cosmetics industry was able to provide solid positive numbers despite the ongoing crisis. Europe wide, it employs 1.7 million people, including 25,000 scientists, and has an annual turnover of something like 70 billion of Euro. “Cosmetics Europe – The personal care association”, formerly known as Colipa, which celebrated fifty years of history in 2012, today works with 18 multinational companies, with 27 national associations and with 4000 SMEs to provide European Consumers with safe innovative and effective products.
