Abstract

Recent advances in biocatalysis have seen increased interest inthe use of D-amino acid oxidase to synthesize optically pure aminoacids. However, the creation of a genuine oxidase–based platformtechnology will require suitable process technology as well as anunderstanding of the challenges and opportunities of a wider portfolioof synthetic targets. In this article we address some of the recentprogress in process technology to enable the future development of ageneric platform technology.
