AstraZeneca awarded at the Bangalore Chapter of the20th NHRD National Conference

Multinational bio- pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca won an award in the CSR best practices category at the Bangalore Chapter of the20th NHRD National Conference. The two-day conference held at Palace Grounds ended on Friday.
AstraZeneca was awarded for the company’s Young Health Programme (YHP), an initiative focused on primary prevention of non-communicable diseases in young people. AstraZeneca was also nominated for HR Best Practices in the category of ‘Gender Diversity’.
Commenting on the company’s win, Smita Saha, vice president – HR, AstraZeneca Pharma India Limited (AZPIL) and executive director, Plan India, said, “I accept this award on behalf of an incredible team at AstraZeneca, whose passion and dedication have played big role in bringing us where we are today. I would like to thank the National HRD network for this honour. This award reinforces our commitment to target the various risk behaviours that lead to non-communicable diseases in young people, especially those in marginalised communities.”
