Eppendorf: New development in the field of Liquid Handling: Highly viscous creams are now pipettable

HPC Today

To this day, highly viscous liquids such as creams, lotions, shampoo, toothpaste or nail polish are processed almost exclusively with the help of spoons and other similar tools in the laboratory and for analytical purposes. These requirements cause tremendous delays to analysis and mixing procedures during the development process.

The new ViscoTip® for the associated Multipette instrument is purportedly capable of processing tough liquids such as creams with viscosities of up to 14,000 mPa*s precisely and quickly. It will be introduced to the public for the first time in April 2018 at the InCosmetics. Additional information, including information on the liquids tested, is available at www.eppendorf.de/viscotip

Even viscous creams and nail polish can be processed using the ViscoTip®.
