White biotechnology, employed by ROELMI, involves the use of enzymes or bacteria from proprietary strains, and has been industrially consolidated downstream of production cycles (end-of-pipe technologies). Currently, these techniques are spreading as methods that enable the production of high-value products from renewable resources.
In this context, SeidoTech®Lux is born, an innovative cosmetic active ingredient obtained through precision bacterial fermentation of upcycled Mediterrean wine leaves. Engineered through precision microbial fermentation, it integrates the power of natural Italian Vitis vinifera L. (cultivar rubra) with advanced biotechnology, creating a science-backed solution. Thanks to its biotechnological origin, it delivers a supernatant rich in bioactive metabolites that offers comprehensive, 360° care for the delicate eye contour area, addressing multiple skin concerns with proven efficacy.
With a targeted action on puffy eyes and unpleasant dark circles, SeidoTech®Lux has initially demonstrated its efficacy through an extensive in vitro dossier. Results demonstrated that the biotech ingredient improves microcirculation by enhancing angiogenesis and reducing vascular dark circles appearance. It is also able to inhibit melanin synthesis and it helps to reduce signs of aging thanks to its anti-glycation effect in skin proteins, and protects against oxidative stress – delivering targeted care for a revitalized, more radiant eye contour.
A major clinical study involving 120 volunteers with typical skin concerns in the eye contour area – such as dark brown circles, vascular dark circles and eye bags – confirmed the ingredient’s ability in providing lasting results. Multiple parameters were monitored over time, showing visible improvements even at a low dosage of just 1percent.
