By ISSNAF

Founded in 2008, by 36 well-known scientists and academics, including 4 Nobel Prize winners and supported by the Italian Embassy in the United States, ISSNAF (Italian Scientists and Scholars of North America Foundation) is a non-profit organisation, whose mission is to promote co-operation in the fields of science, academia and technology between Italian researchers and scholars who operate in North America, and the world of research in Italy.

With a network of over 4000 affiliates, including illustrious scientists and young researchers, ISSNAP is the biggest representative of the Italian intellectual diaspora in North America and a bridge that connects the two sides of the Atlantic, to allow the exchange and diffusion of an invaluable patrimony of knowledge.

In its work, ISSNAF co-operates with other organisations and foundations, institutions and governmental bodies, among which the Ministry of Education, of University and Research, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Italian embassy, the network of Italian consulates, and Italian cultural institutes in the United States and Canada.
