Vidya Herbs highlights Vi-HempTM , the best of hemp-derived products

AgroFOOD Industry Hi Tech

Vi-HempTM is a new range of organic certified French hemp-derived products developed by Vidya Herbs. The hemp seeds are sourced from a small family farm in the north of France, a region where the climate and the soil are particularly adapted to the cultivation of hemp.

Vi-Hemp TM oil is obtained by cold-pressed extraction of the seeds. This gentle extraction method fully preserves the composition and the associated of the seeds (fatty acids, vitamins, cannabidoids…). It does not need any chemicals. The virgin oil obtained is free from THC but naturally contains 0.5% CBD (not novel food). Vi-Hemp TM oil is rich in omega 3 (α-linolenic acid) and omega 6 (linoleic acid but also gamma-linolenic acid). Omega 3 and 6 are known to provide many health benefits including the protection of the cell membrane, the prevention of cardio-vascular or cognitive diseases, or anti-inflammatory properties 1 , to
name just a few. Moreover, the ratio ω6/ω3 of Vi-Hemp TM oil is optimum and is equivalent to 3,7/1. In our modern Western diets, the ratio ω6/ω3 can reach 15 to 16, inducing an increased risk of cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and inflammatory and autoimmune diseases and the optimum ratio has been showed to be between 3 and 4 2 . Last but not least, Vi-Hemp TM oil is rich in Vitamin E, one of the most famous natural antioxidants.
