Abstract

At IMM, all development steps required for buildinga fuel processor have been addressed. Reactor andsystem design, catalyst development and set-up/testingof complete fuel processors are realised for systems upto 5 kW power output of the corresponding fuel cell. Theapplications standing behind the development work aremanifold. Having demonstrated the feasibility of compactfuel processing, the aspects of future mass production of suchdevices for consumer applications are discussed. Completefuel processor systems will be presented and discussed.Emphasis will also be made on manufacturing technologiesapplicable, which greatly depend on the production scaleand on the market potential of the application.
