On April 1, 2019, Mr. Enrico Zodio, CEO, and Mr. Kingo Yamashita, CCO, of Procos SpA, have been appointed to join the Board of CBC CO LTD, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. This event marks a significant alliance between CBC and Procos as our people and cultures continue to work together and prosper.

CBC-Procos relationship starts in the late 90’s first as trading business for the Japanese innovator market and evolved in 2006 with Procos acquisition by CBC Group.

Indeed, thanks to the synergy between a 94-year-old globally-established Japanese trading company and an Italian manufacturing company with more than 70 years-experience in the APIs field, CBC-Procos initiated a series of technology expansions, increasing the overall business in key markets, such as the United States, Europe, Japan and India. Additionally, Procos’ capitalized on the available network of CBC sales offices to increase the global footprint.

Moreover, the mutual trust and common will to renovate “together” for future challenges is at the highest level.  Procos is approaching new business opportunities and customers that were not feasible even 10 – 15 years ago.  The significant upgrades to the manufacturing plant and overall technology platform has improved the manufacturing capacities and capabilities in both the small- and large-scale cGMP manufacturing units.  An additional investment was made to implement the new high potent API unit, just last year.  The overall investment of $60M, will lead CBC-Procos to become a globally recognized CDMO.

These nominations of Mr. Zodio and Mr. Yamashita, opened a new chapter in the CBC-Procos history. We look forward to a more integrated alliance, focused on increasing the technology platform and worldwide presence of CBC-Procos.
