Lubrizol Life Science – Beauty (LLS Beauty) is proud to announce that its paper on the qualities of Oxylance™ advanced botanical ingredient has been recognized as the best paper presented at the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) conference held this month.

The paper, “Improving Skin Oxygenation by Tibetan Adaptation”, won the Lester Conrad Award for best paper presented at the ASCC’s annual conference. The paper is judged by a committee of customers on its originality, scientific contribution, importance and relevance to the industry, presentation, and use of visual aids.

The paper explained how Oxylance™ advanced botanical ingredient, a botanical extract of Ligustrum lucidum, sustainably sourced from the high-altitude mountains of China, mimics the Tibetan genetic adaptation to low-oxygen conditions, resulting in increased oxygen supply to the skin and overall improved skin appearance.

With age, the skin’s microcirculation weakens, leading to impaired oxygenation. These changes can lead to a dull and unhealthy skin appearance. Oxylance™ advanced botanical ingredient combats these signs of aging, creating a healthier-looking complexion, while also improving skin oxygen levels, similar to how yoga increases oxygenation to our body.
