Purolite Life Sciences brings Purolite’s innovative thinking and distinguished history of resin technology expertise to the global Life Sciences marketplace.  Over three decades, Purolite has grown into the world’s premier resin technology manufacturer and innovation leader, with production plants and advanced research labs across the globe.

The Chromalite® M range of chromatographic resins are hydrophilic, macroporous, methacrylic resins for large-scale applications. Based on a rigid polymeric backboned that ensures excellent pressure-flow properties, they have been designed for high performance, stability and reliability under the conditions of modern industrial bioprocesses. Chromalite® M resins for ion exchange chromatography include both strong and weak functional groups in both anion and cation exchange processes

As part of Chromalite M range we have developed a Chromalite MIDA that has been specifically designed to selectively capture and purify His-tagged enzymes for biocatalytic processes. This resin is used has iminodiacetic acid (IDA) functional groups allowing metal loadings of 0.25 mmol metal/g and extremely high affinity towards the His-tagged protein. His-tag purification and hence immobilization of his-tagged enzymes provides up to 4 times increase in specific activity compared to standard immobilizations as ionic, adsorption and covalent, and this is due to the selectivity of the Chromalite MIDA resin. Recycling of the His-tagged enzyme immobilized on Chromalite MIDA shows excellent stability.
