Andre De Vries – DSM Innosyn® route scouting services: a flexible CRO

In 2010 DSM launched Innosyn® route scouting services to meet the individual needs of various customers in the pharmaceutical industry to outsource process development R&D. The concept behind InnoSyn route scouting services was to provide customers with a cost efficient and greener way to manufacture compounds with more sustainable processes. As of the 11th of March 2014 DSM and JLL partners announced the merger of DSM Pharmaceutical Products and Patheon. The R&D group of DSM, operating the Innosyn route scouting services, however, stayed at DSM, becoming a CRO but still with all the DSM technologies available to develop cost effective and scalable routes to produce APIs and intermediates at large scale.
