Abstract

This work deals with the cleaning process of hardsurfaces. We have employed a laboratory device called Bath-Substrate-Flow (BSF), which allows us to study the effect of thedifferent factors on cleaning performance, such as, the soilingagent, kind and geometry of the substrate, the washing bath, thetemperature as well as the hydrodynamic conditions. Thisexperimental device also facilitates the study of the kinetics ofcleaning processes and the development of new detergentformulations. The experimental results also agree with those whichshould be expected taking into consideration the physicochemicalproperties of the materials involved in the process.
