Abstract

The syntheses and properties of the perfluoroalkylphosphorusacids, H[(RF)3PF3] (HFAP), (RF)2P(O)OH, RFP(O)(OH)2 and[(C2F5)2P(O)]2NH (HFPI) are presented and discussed. The application of bis(perfluoroalkyl)phosphinic acids andbis[bis(pentafluoroethyl)phosphinyl]imide as Brønsted acidcatalysts in comparison to triflic acid is demonstrated.
