Virtual Italian Flow Chemistry Symposium (v-IFCS)

On November 26th, 2020 at 3 pm (CET) the Virtual Italian Flow Chemistry Symposium (v-IFCS) took place on Zoom and streamed in a public YouTube channel. The virtual event was chaired by Prof. Antimo Gioiello (Dept. Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Perugia, Italy) and Prof. Lucia Tamborini (Dept. Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Milan, Italy) and was organized together with the Società Chimica Italiana - Divisione di Chimica Farmaceutica (Medicinal Chemistry Division of the Italian Chemical Society). It anticipated the Italian Flow Chemistry Symposium (IFCS), originally scheduled for late November 2020 and postponed to November 2021 because of COVID-19 restrictions. Leading experts from both academia and industry showcased how continuous flow chemistry impact on chemical sciences and drug discovery research.

‘A couple of years ago, Lucia and I started thinking about the organization of an event to be held in Italy and focused on the important development of continuous flow technology in drug discovery and medicinal chemistry. There is an increasing attention in the use of flow chemistry to synthesize compound libraries for hit-to-lea ...
