Abstract

This paper reviews the current state-of-the-art in thedevelopment of highly integrated microfluidic devicesfor life science applications which have made significantprogress in recent years. The strategic approach and thetechnical challenges in device integration are discussedand practical examples for this integration strategy arepresented from different application fields.
