Abstract
Fast and precise heating by microwave irradiation has emergedas a valuable tool in the solid-phase synthesis of difficult peptidesequences and protein domains. This paper describes the stepsthat led to the development of a new synthesis robot for microwaveassisted solid-phase peptide synthesis. The paper concludes withsome examples of the use of the instrument for the synthesis of difficultpeptide sequences.
